Privacy policy
Last updated: October 2026
Findy ("we", "us") provides chatbot implementation services. This policy explains what personal data we collect through this website, why, and your rights under UK data protection law (UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018).
What we collect
- Details you give us through the callback form: name, phone, business, and optionally email and a message.
- Chats with our website assistant: your messages, the assistant's replies, the page you were on, and any contact or business details you choose to share.
- A random identifier stored in your browser so the assistant can keep a conversation together and limit misuse, plus a scrambled (hashed) version of your IP address for spam protection.
Why we use it
- To answer your questions and follow up when you ask us to (legitimate interests, or steps before entering a contract).
- To improve the assistant and our website content (legitimate interests).
- To keep the website secure and prevent spam (legitimate interests).
We don't sell your data or use it for advertising. Please don't share passwords, payment details or ID numbers in the chat.
The website assistant
The assistant is an AI tool. Its answers are based on the content of this website and may occasionally be wrong. Your messages are processed by our AI service providers to generate replies.
Who we share it with
Trusted providers who host our website and database, deliver our emails and process AI requests, under contracts that protect your data. Some may process data outside the UK, with appropriate safeguards in place.
How long we keep it
Chats and enquiries are kept for up to 24 months, then deleted, unless we need them longer for an ongoing working relationship or legal reasons.
Your rights
You can ask to access, correct or delete your data, object to or restrict how we use it, or ask for a copy. Email hello@getfindy.co.uk. You can also complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk).
